What is Surge Entrepreneurs Collective?

There are unique challenges entrepreneurs and small business owners face and few Gospel centered communities entrepreneurs can turn to when they want to find answers to the problems they face running their business.

Most entrepreneurs would tell you their journey is lonely, especially as they continue to grow their business - the larger it gets, the more difficult it can become at the top.The Surge Entrepreneurs Collective is a group of 12-18 entrepreneurs and small business owners who meet for monthly peer coaching. These peer coaching groups are designed to be powerful and effective for the practical and every day needs of running and leading businesses while discussing the centrality of Jesus in all areas of life of entrepreneurship.

About the Surge Entrepreneurs Collective

Gather with Christian entrepreneurs and small business owners who are trying to apply the teaching of Jesus in their whole life, including their business endeavors. These groups serve as each other’s advisory board of peers and meet monthly to share challenges and victories. In addition to the monthly meetings, there are in-person retreats 1-2 times per year.

Group Requirements

  • Committed to following Jesus in their business endeavors

  • Participate in a local church

  • Business must have employees

  • Business must be at $250K in revenue minimum

  • Must be a founder/CEO of a business (Non-Profit founders, CEOs, EDs qualify)

  • Must commit to six months with the group

  • If you miss 2 meetings, group can decide to remove your membership

Location & Times:  Meeting locations in Downtown Phoenix/Tempe.  Members can also host at their business if space is available.  The group will be meeting one day per month for at minimum 4 hours and up to 8 hours during the workday (between 8am and 5pm).  Exact day and time to be determined.

Cost:  $250/month paid quarterly.

About Facilitator: 

Michael Ly is an entrepreneur, speaker, father, husband and follower of Jesus.  He is CEO & Founder of Reconciled, an online accounting firm for entrepreneurs and small business owners, as well as co-founder of Humnly & PunchPay.  Launched in 2015, Reconciled has been recognized in the accounting industry by industry leaders like Intuit as a “Firm of the Future” in both 2016 & 2018, 2019 Minority Business of the Year by the Vermont SBA, and made both the Inc. 5000 list and Sun Devil 100 in 2022.  Michael has spoken at Intuit’s Quickbooks Connect conference multiple times, as well as other accounting and small business conferences.

Michael was born and raised in Tempe, AZ, and attended Grace Community Church growing up as part of the Cambodian community.  He holds a BS from Arizona State and a MBA from Babson College.  He is married to Shannon and has three children.  They live in Tempe, AZ and call  Redemption Tempe their church home.

Michael has been a member of Vistage, the world’s largest Executive Organization, since 2014 and is currently active in a Vistage group in Tempe.
