We will resume meeting on Thursday August 8th, but we will be changing the gathering to a lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
As summer winds down we’ll be spending time talking about a reset or fresh start. Summer is usually a time for vacations and getting away from it all. Taking time off for rest and relaxation is necessary, but it’s not always easy getting “back into the swing of things.” We'll discuss what a reset means for us and what scripture says about making things new. We'll also spend some time reconnecting after a few months off.
“No one tears a piece of cloth from a new garment and puts it on an old garment; otherwise he will both tear the new, and the piece from the new will not match the old. And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the new wine will burst the skins and it will be spilled out, and the skins will be ruined. But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins.”
—Luke 5:36-38 (NASB)
