Unity of the Church in Christ
“Unity” is a well-worn word in today’s culture. Unity means many different things depending on who you are talking to and may even feel like a fluffy, idealistic, or romantic word. It can be a word tossed around to mean that we should endorse anything and anyone for the sake of “getting along.” But regardless of the misuse of the word, unity is one of the most profound themes of the Christian story.
The mystery of the gospel has to do with our union with Christ. That union does not just manifest itself in individual ways, but through the gathering of God’s people. In the New Testament we see this happen among the Jew and Gentile, young and old, male and female, rich and poor.
Join us for a discussion on what Christian unity looks like like for the 21st century church. What are the means and tools that God has given us to walk in this unity? How do we foster this among ourselves, our congregations, and throughout the Bride of Christ in Arizona?
