Topic: The Gospel in a particular time, to a particular people
We desire to see lives and cities transformed by the gospel, which is the power of God unto salvation that rests in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As the church is sent to proclaim the gospel to the ends of the earth, we must think how to communicate the gospel in a particular place, time, and culture, to a particular people without watering it down.
Each church and ministry must think deeply about how we do this in our own particular context.
Most of our churches have a deep commitment to a particular context, neighborhood, or focus area, and with each context comes particular challenges and opportunities. Our January Surge Lunch will be a great opportunity to learn about the particular challenges facing the Tucson Church today. We will have the privilege to hear from a panel of different pastors from varied ministry contexts and experiences on how they identify and address these potential barriers.
We hope you will join us as we learn together and from one another how to be a faithful gospel presence in our city.
