TOPIC: Evangelism and the Pastoral Vocation
Many of us entered into ministry because we had a deep desire for people to know Jesus. While we have an incredible opportunity to use our pulpits, church ministries, and the life of our congregation to proclaim the gospel, many of us long to grow in our own, individual, daily encounters with people who do not know Jesus. How can we grow in our personal witness to Jesus? How can we model Evangelistic intentionality in our own lives? How can we speak and live out the Gospel in places where the name of Jesus is unknown, poorly represented, or despised?
It is common for pastors to express feelings of inadequacy, guilt, and shame for the infrequency of sharing the Gospel with people outside their churches. Evangelism is something leaders know we are supposed to engage in, but often find ourselves lacking opportunity, are trapped by busy schedules, or fumble through awkward responses about what we do for a living.
As a movement of local churches in Arizona, we seek to be faithful communities that are making disciples of Jesus Christ. Join us for a great panel discussion about the pastoral vocation and evangelistic intentionality. You will be encouraged as you hear stories, ideas, and learn about practical tools for being an evangelistic pastor that encourages and inspires the members of your congregation to proclaim the Gospel.
