A Conference within a Conference

Session 1/ Closing Session of IWMC: Work and the Love of Neighbor - Jim Mullins and panel (Friday, May 6th, 7:00pm-9:00pm)

Jesus calls us to intentionally love our neighbors. Many people think this is call to interpersonal kindness, but we can also love our neighbors through the goods and services of our dailywork. Jim will explain how our work can be a means of loving and serving our neighbors. He will also facilitate a panel discussion with people from multiple industries about the relationship between work and seeking the good of our neighbor.

Introduction/ Opening Discussion - Jim Mullins (Saturday, May 7th, 9:00am - 9:15am)

Session 2: Calling - Amy Sherman (Saturday, May 7th, 9:15am - 10:00am)

What I am supposed to do with my life? Many people struggle to answer this question, including many followers of Christ. This session will focus on understanding our calling and the good works for which God created us.

Q & A Session: 15 minutes

Session 3: Work and the Resurrection Amy Sherman (Saturday, May 7th, 10:15am-11:00am)

The resurrection has profound implications for every aspect of our lives, including our vocations and occupations. Amy will reflect on the significance of the resurrection and how our vocational faithfulness can provide a foretaste of the Kingdom of God.
