January Surge Lunch

  • Redemption Arcadia 4141 East Thomas Road Phoenix, AZ, 85018 United States

Surge Lunches are a free monthly lunch designed to bring leaders together from across the Valley and give them valuable content to interact with and time to fellowship with one another.

We meet the first Wednesday of every month at Redemption Church Arcadia. We cover a diverse range of topics in our Surge lunch. Sometimes our lunches are more academic and others are more practical. Last year our lunches covered topics like: Loving Your Muslim Neighbor, The Church & the Black Lives Matters Movement, and Reading Scripture as a Biblical Narrative.

January's Topic:

Faith, Work and a Flourishing City

“No task is too small a vessel to hold the immense dignity of work given by God." – Tim Keller

The average adult will spend over 92,000 hours at work during the course of their lifetime, not to mention the many hours they will spend studying, doing domestic work, or participating in civic life.

How can we equip God’s people to engage in their work for the glory of God and the good of the their neighbors? How can we affirm the many vocations and occupations that are represented in our communities?

Pastor Jim Mullins will be our speaker for January’s Surge Lunch. He will focus on these very questions and will wrap up the time with a small panel discussion about ways we can equip people to glorify God and seek the flourishing of the city through their work. This Surge lunch is designed to give you practical tools to empower every member of your church to contribute to God's mission through their day to day work.

Please feel free to invite and bring your leadership team along for this Surge lunch for conversations about Faith, Work, and the Flourishing of the City.

Please RSVP so we can order food:
